About Me

Kimbowa Richard: Kampala, Uganda; Development manager with 25+ years of experience working with civil society on sustainable energy, climate action, and environmental governance in East Africa. Former National Focal Point for the East African Civil Society for Sustainable Energy and Climate Action (2019–2023) and Regional Coordinator for the LVEMPII Civil Society Watch Project (2012–2015). I closely track SDG implementation through the lens of the Global South and Africa’s Agenda 2063. Currently Chairman of the Renewable Energy Civil Society Organizations Network (Uganda) and INFORSE–East Africa, and Chairman of the Advisory Board for the NAAM Festival (#JusticeForLakeVictoria). I also serve on the Board of Trustees of the Uganda National Renewable Energy Platform (NREP). Member of the International Association of Facilitators, the Global South Climate Experts Platform, and the EuroClimateCheck initiative, committed to advancing inclusive, people-centered climate and energy solutions.
